Hello Lighthouse Families,
Due to the forecasted weather for tomorrow, Friday, March 3rd, 2023, Gary Lighthouse Charter School will have an asynchronous eLearning day for all scholars.
Teachers will post assignments in Google Classroom for scholars to complete along with videos for scholars to view by 8:00am. Assignments must be completed by 11:59PM for scholars to be counted present for attendance purposes.

Bus 3 will NOT be running today, February 24, 2023. Once again, apologies are being offered for any and all inconvenience that this may cause anyone.
NWILCS campuses will not have school on Monday, February 20, 2023, in observance of President's Day and offices will be closed. Please enjoy the long weekend with your scholars and come back refreshed on Tuesday morning. If you have any questions or concerns, please call your campus's office.
NWILCS is excited to launch our Intent to Return campaign for the 2023-2024 school year. We have begun planning for the upcoming school year and part of this planning includes knowing our families' plans for next year. On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, Primary Campus had Family Bingo Night with prizes, fun and help from one of our community partners, "Sharp School" out of Hobart, IN.

On Wednesday, January 25th, scholars will be dismissed from in-person school at 12:30pm. Scholars will then complete their online work for the afternoon. Scholars must be present in-person and complete their online work to be counted present for the entire day.

The date is quickly approaching and we here at Lighthouse are super excited to see you, you and you and our Winter Carnival. Remember they'll be two locations: The East Chicago Carnival will be held on Friday, January 6 from 5pm-8pm. The Gary Carnival will be held on Saturday, January 7 from 11am-2pm. This event is open to all NWILCS families as well as the communities as a whole, so bring your family and friends. We will have games, food, bouncy houses, face painting, balloons, prizes, and more so come celebrate being part of the Lighthouse family!

Through our Penny War and Food Drive, the Gary Lighthouse Primary Campus was able to bless 12 Families for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Lighthouse Primary Charter School will observe the holiday.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Wednesday, November 9 will be a half-day of in-person school. Scholars will arrive to school at their normal but dismissal will begin at 12:30. Scholars will have until midnight to finish the assignments on Google Classroom. Scholars must be present in school and complete the online work to be marked present for the day.

Gary Lighthouse Charter School Primary Campus celebrated our scholars achievement for 1st quarter , Friday, October 28, 2022, which consisted of honor roll, reading awards and student of the month.
